Case Study

The property has been surveyed, the surveyor has discussed the options with the home owner and provided information and advised about the Solar Photovoltaic system.

Day 1

Strengthening of roof rafters (if required) to ensure secure fixing of rail mounting system and increase strength for wind and snow loading.

Rail mounting bracket securely fixed to rafter. We do not use batten type fixings as they are not as secure.

Tiles are carefully notched and sealed around the brackets, this also allow the tiles to lay in the correct position (flat) without any gaps underneath. This will avoid water egress and insect infestation.

End of Day One and the brackets and all rails are in place.

Day 2

Purpose made Cable access tile installed. Using a Solar PV Cable Outlet tile to provide a watertight seal around cables which pass through the roof. It is fully wind tunnel tested to guarantee performance therefore protecting wiring from abrasions and damage.

Here we can see the start of the panel array being installed.

Anti slip brackets are fitted to secure panels to the rails and therefore avoid movement of panel.

Well earned chance for a photo break. Panel fitting almost complete.

This is the inverter fitted on the garage wall next to the existing consumer unit. It keeps track and records what is being produced.

The Generation Meter measures the electricity being produced from the panels and this is where you take the reading from to provide to your electricity company so that they can pay you.

Completed installation with the scaffolding removed.
